September Newsletter
The sweet chill of fall is in the air and we’re breathing it in.
There’s only four (err.. 3.5!) months left of the year and if you're like us you still have a lot of goals left to achieve, in spite of having accomplished so much already in 2024.
Last month we wrapped our photo collaboration at PDX and this month we are gearing up for an exciting new fundraiser in partnership with Roux, a week-long food and beverage experience led by the women redefining the industry (more on this below!)
This newsletter also ushers in the incredible news that we have been working quietly and quickly to realize a long standing dream from one of our beloved founding members, Emilly Prado, to create a creative retreat space for BIPOC artists.
Introducing Portland in Color’s very first Creative Refresh retreat. Members in our directory are invited to join us at the Society Hotel in Bingen, Washington from December 26 - 29, 2024. Applications open on October 4th.
Save the Date: October 12th, 2024
We’re hosting Roux Art Show—our first art show fundraiser! This fundraiser has two parts, allowing folks to support online and in person. We’re currently working with five artists to create food-themed posters that will be for sale online and in person at our Live Art Show. Our Live Art Show will also include 5 more artists creating food-themed art in real time! Watch these artists in residence at Roux Market on October 12th.
Keep an eye on this space for an announcement of our featured artists and a special discount to the Roux Market for PIC community members. Check out Roux’s awesome line up of other events here.
