
We’re a little less than two weeks away from the April 4, 2025 deadline to apply to the inaugural Portland in Color BIPOC Artist Residency at the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology!
In case you missed it, we’re partnering with Sitka to reserve two spots for Oregon artists of color for the Fall 2025-Spring 2026 season. Portland in Color is thrilled to collaborate with the Sitka team to enhance the access of BIPOC to enriching their creative practices.

Residency Period: October 1, 2025 – April 30, 2026
Duration: 2-4 weeks (length and dates to be determined by your availability)
Eligibility: Open to BIPOC artists over 18 years old residing in Oregon who have not previously participated in a Sitka artist residency.
Location: Sitka Center for Art and Ecology, 56605 Sitka Dr, Otis, OR 97368
Funding availability: $600 stipend flat fee
Application Deadline: Friday, April 3, 2025 by 11:59 PM PT
Notifications: All applicants will be notified by email by April 30th, 2025
